Falk Library of Health Sciences The Health Sciences Library System (HSLS) supports the educational, research, patient care, and service activities of the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences and the UPMC through a provision of information resources, services, and collections. HSLS provides network access to HSL Online and library and information services for physicians and staff of the UPMC. Falk Library of the Health Sciences serves as the flagship of HSLS. The library houses more than 300,000 print volumes and receives approximately 2,000 journal subscriptions. The Falk Library collection also includes a special History of Medicine collection. In addition to the library's print collection, the Computer and Media Center (CMC) includes videotapes, audiotapes, and more than 300 microcomputer software packages. |
