to rehabilitation to obstetrics, specialty certifications provide nurses
with valuable knowledge and insight for treating patients with specific
health conditions.
In addition to advanced
degrees, UPMC encourages nurses to pursue specialty certifications and
will offer financial assistance to those nurses who do so. Level 3 of
UPMC's Clinical Advancement Program requires
nurses to attain certification in a specialty.
